Refund and Returns Policy

At Brithbath, we want you to be completely satisfied with your spa-like bathroom upgrade. If something isn’t quite right, we’re here to help. Please read this Refund and Returns Policy carefully.

1. Eligibility for Returns

You may return most items within 14 days of receipt of your order for a refund or exchange, provided the item meets our return conditions.

  • The 14-day return window starts from the day you (or your nominated recipient) physically receive the goods.
  • This is in addition to your statutory rights under UK/EU consumer law.
  • To be eligible for a return:
    • The item must be unused, in its original condition, with all original packaging, tags, accessories, and documentation intact.
    • The product must not show signs of installation, use, water exposure, or damage caused by the customer.
    • Shower heads, faucets, shower systems, and similar items are considered hygiene-sensitive products. Returns are accepted only if the item remains unopened/unused and the packaging is undamaged. Opened/used items cannot be returned for hygiene reasons unless defective.

2. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are non-returnable (except in cases of proven defect or our error):

  • Items that have been installed, used, or exposed to water.
  • Custom-made or personalised products.
  • Sale/final clearance items (marked as “final sale” or “non-returnable”).
  • Gift cards or digital products (if any).

3. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or not as described:

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the issue, your order number, and a brief description.
  • We will arrange a replacement (preferred) or full refund, including return shipping costs.
  • Do not attempt to install or use a damaged/defective item, as this may void your claim.

4. How to Initiate a Return

  1. Email us at maryele991@outlook.com (or use our Contact page) with:
    • Your order number
    • Reason for return
    • Photos (especially for damage/defect claims)
  2. We will reply within 2 business days with a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number and return instructions/address.
  3. Pack the item securely in its original packaging (or equivalent safe packaging for large/heavy items).
  4. Ship the return using a trackable service. We recommend keeping proof of postage.

Note: For customer-requested returns (change of mind), you are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty/our error.

5. Refunds

  • Once we receive and inspect the returned item (usually within 5–10 business days), we will process your refund.
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
  • Refunds for approved returns typically appear in your account within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank/card issuer.
  • We refund the full purchase price of the item (excluding original shipping fees unless the return is due to our error).
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable for change-of-mind returns.

6. Exchanges

We offer exchanges where possible (subject to stock availability). Follow the same return process above and specify you want an exchange. If the new item is more expensive, you’ll pay the difference; if cheaper, we’ll refund the difference.

7. Important Notes for Large/Heavy Items

Shower systems, rainfall heads, freestanding tubs, and similar products are bulky and fragile. Proper packaging is essential for safe return. We may require proof of professional packaging or decline reimbursement for damage caused during return transit if not packed adequately.

8. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your legal rights as a consumer (e.g., under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in the UK or equivalent EU laws). Goods must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality. You have a 14-day cancellation right for distance sales, but you may incur return costs.
